Introduction

The Amsterdam Vesicle Center embodies a collaboration between the Department of Biomedical Engineering & Physics and the Laboratory of Experimental Clinical Chemistry of the Amsterdam University Medical Center.

By combining biological, chemical, metrological and physical knowledge and expertise, we develop novel technologies to study the presence and biological function of extracellular vesicles in health and disease, with the goal to use extracellular vesicles as clinical biomarkers.

August 14th, 2026: Edwin will give a lecture about "Detection of extracellular vesicle size and concentration: why to avoid nanoparticle tracking analysis and standardize flow cytometry" during the webinar "Small Vesicles - Big World" organized by Extracellular Vesicles and Circulating Nucleic Acids (EVCNA).
